Funny how things work out really. Opening up a 2nd store took
up alot of time and energy so after much champagne I thought
the creators would be flat on their backs dead tired... but voila!
instead, got them on a buiding binge!!! So, here's another newness!

I'm a homes&furniture freak!!

To me, Christmas shopping = Christmas furniture shopping and to
do so, needed a perfect house, that, with a magic decorating touch would
turn into my dream Christmas cottage :P

Here's our main store, yes so small, I can't deny it.
Because of the prim limits, we've barely been able to demo like 2 or 3

BUT! we are expanding yaaaaaay!

Autumn is supposed to be a romantic season... yet why does this song

skybox today and was wondering what to rez instead... when this little
house screamed ME! from inside my inventory :)

[ARIRA] Sept. 22 is - Otsukimi night, yay!

Long long time ago in Japan, on the first full moon in auturmn, people
say they used to see....

bunnies in the moon, pounding away
rice dumplings!! I'm not kidding, that's how the myth of Otsukimi
goes and every child in Japan, would draw pictures of bunnies and the moon,
while mothers prepared the "susuki(silver grass)&rice dumpling set" that
is a must have in homes :)

Otsukimi, literally means moon gazing, a Japanese tradition where
people gather to watch the harvest moon to celebrate the autumn
harvest. This year, THE day is Sept. 22!

Yes, 5 minutes and 42 seconds! That's how long it took me to set up a shop!

Want to set up a shop quick? Need a little extra stall to show your new items?
Or maybe, add a little patio in your backyard? Well, here is how you can do
it in less than 6 min(your own inventory searching time…. not included :)
Buy the pack, rez it then place your items! that simple~~

Let me walk you through the setting up process.
First, rez the booth pack. Simply, drag&drop from your inventory onto
the land you own/have rented. Now that takes like 2 seconds max!

Then comes the tricky part that took me 25 seconds, to move it to the
exact location! The building is all linked but the panels are not, because
they are ok to copy and resize, so to move the building around after
rezzing, make sure to select the 5 panels along with the building.
Yes 5! 4 panels on the wall and the little one in front where you put
your store name!

Now, let’s work on the panels. Again, simply drag&drop the texture
from your inventory onto the board, that’s it, no editing anything!
Don’t forget to put in your store logo. These panels are ok to
copy&resize. Here I’ve copied 2 more and resized them.

Then, a couple of sample furniture pieces here and there, arrange them
nicely…. and voila! My new shop! Add maybe a little décor and a
couple of plants and I’m done. 5 minutes and 42 seconds!
I’ll have time to go dancing tonight~~~~~

Ooops, almost forgot. Here’s how it looks at night. The luminous
effect, which is our specialty, will make your store name and panels
stand out in the dark!

Big windows for your view! - ARIRA HOUSE 003

Bob Dylan would have loved this house, because I hear "I shall be released"
everytime I TP into my home:D Just love those big windows!!!

ARIRA HOUSE 003. 87 prims, 24.5m x 24.8m, 500L$.

That's me at the entrance. I’m 5’8”. If you were thinking of opening up
a little shop or a gallery, this would be a perfect spot to put your reception

there. A cat tree would be fun!

Here we have the center stage area. Dance with your partner, set up a
bar, get your grand piano out! A couch and TV set, naturally, but one of
my friends had a big roman bathtub installed! Anything goes really,
because after all, don't we all have trillions of "favorites" stacked away
in our inventories?

Skybox for...MEN? - 　ARIRA SKYBOX 005

Here's a question to all you girls reading this blog.
“what’s the best thing about having your own skybox?” YES, to get changed!

The first thing I would do, is to set up a pose stand, or two, or three...
But, men don’t do that did you know? They don’t even change clothes
every day, nor hair or whatever little they do put on. So, I asked around
what they would want to do in a skybox. Yes, THAT of course, but
otherwise, they want to fill their walls with artwork of all sorts, put down
a nice couch and just sit there to relax and have the time and space for
themselves..... So, that brings me back to...

ARIRA skybox 005. 58 prims.

Can't think of a good English word for "Kodawari" hmmm....(flips through a
dictionary...) "Persistence" "people with peculiar tastes" "freehearted" hmmm...
"pigheaded" aha! They sure are that about seeking quality and caring for minute
details that only a few would even notice….. So, I’ll brag about it:D
See the simple wooden cabinets. Nice, yeah..... so? Now, look in the back, see?

See that peg? Yes… these cabinets are tip-resistant...LOL
I love that Kodawari in a creator! So ARIRA group creators…
(getting out my karaoke machine....) don’t go changing... I love you just
the way you are~~~~lalala~~~ Another example, here.

The bar stools included in skybox 004 has...

See the head screws? They are to hold down the
supposedly Italian leather cushion covers...:)

Then, there's our "let your AO live!" sofa series, selling rather well!

These are not our alts but our actual friends who flew in to pose for us.
Scripts are designed to accommodate most normal sized avis and to let
everyone's AO come through. Each sofa pack includes 2 options;
1 for tiny or small female avis, another for the bigger or bulkier.

Same goes for our kimono textured cushions.

And our benches. 12 people sitting on just 1 bench here, but more can fit:)

Limited color edition? Sorry, no, eh… the surprise is a skybox w/ one of
our latest ARIRA 006 lights included! I shouldn’t spoil the fun, but it really
was pretty and couldn’t keep quiet…

After months of sweating over sculpts, we’ve finally come up with
items that are LOW prim but NOT cheap looking, yay!

They don’t glare, they glow, giving off that romantic and happy
feeling, if you know what I mean….? Well, like how a good supporting
actor would assist the main casts, ARIRA lights don’t scream me!
yet will liven up the entire room! Here are the color options.

5 colors, 8 prims each! (Only two on left switched on )

All on

006 will emit that soft happy coziness, essential to a good home, whereas
005 perhaps more fitting in modern homes or places like bars, clubs, art
galleries, etc., …my preference would be…on stage with live performances!!

I love the dilemma I’m in at the moment…. so much to write about and I don’t know
where to begin! First of all, why a new showroom?

Because it’s been a whole year since we started our little homes&furniture shop.
Yay us! Our new showroom is up in the sky, so please, first come to our main store
in-world

then touch that panel in front to teleport up.

When you land, you’ll see 6 cubicles filled with ARIRA products.
Let me show you the NEW collection case series.

Click on the shadow to open up the lid. My favorite is the red one, but they come in
5 cute colors so take your pick! The heart shaped chocolate is not included... I put it there:)

You might be pleasantly surprised at the effect a little piece of furniture like this can
have to a room. At my SL home, I have chocolates and jewelry placed inside those
little boxes and seeing them every time I log in, makes me smile. Open up your
inventory and try it!

While you’re there, please notice how the furniture pieces look pretty from even a
little distance. This is because of ARIRA magic…. Ahem… the designers put in
tons of time to perfect this, because they themselves didn’t like to see their furnishings
crinch from a distance.

Like only 2 months have passed in RL, yet it’s been a whole year in SL……?!!
Well, sure feels that way!!! ARIRA, launched in July 2009, is still a tiny homes&
furniture store, but proud and happy as ever in pursuit of happiness in making
quality items, yay! Big THANK YOU to all our friends and customers!

So, to celebrate being in business for a whole year, we decided to set up a new
showroom. Well… more like a new showcubicle… compact yet efficiently
arranged, quality seeking and pretty! Yeah, we’re all Japanese:D

Japanese cushions! – wagara 01

ARIRA Cushions; wagara 01

“Wa” means “typical Japanese” and “gara” stands for “designs”. Yes, they are
from patterns used on kimonos. Can I brag about the pretty textures used….
by showing off a few more pictures? :D

These cushions can be used as stools or ottomans, among oriental or western
furnishings and wil look great of course inside homes, but also…

under the summer sun! As with all ARIRA chairs, these are not animated, on purpose!
They will let your AO come through and are ever so carefully scripted to allow normal
size avis of all shapes to fit nicely. Here’s me, sitting with my favorite AO “sit” position.

Giving attention to little props! - ARIRA lights

Because it does make a difference!
We are proud to present our little ARIRA lights because they sure can make a difference when placed in homes.

ARIRA LIGHT 003 in our typical theme color red. Touch to switch on/off the soft glow. It’s of that paper lantern appearance, but edged with the chic red frames will go great with western and Japanese style homes.
The partition and stool in the background are also available at ARIRA inworld.

Our little table lamp, often overlooked because it’s nothing fancy… BUT! As one of our customers so kindly put it, will stage a little happiness. It carries about this sort of friendly cozy cuteness that fits so well in homes, little shops, café, galleries etc.,

Anyway, here's a little house for all who want to live with your beloved partners. Cars!

[NEW] Who needs cabinets in SL?? - ARIRA Cabinet series

Not that it needs dusting....but still, who needs cabinets in SL?
That's what I thought, when one of the ARIRA designers came up to me with these cabinet series. Well, I was wrong! Once I'd placed them around, I could just feel the house really settling down, giving me that cozy feeling only a great home can have. Sure I've got bunch of flowers, a carousel and a couple of elephants in my garden that always cheer me up when I walk out, but the first thing I see when I log in, is the inside of my house!

Made of sculpts with delicate attention on the texture selection of wood and glass, giving that expensive and chic taste but LOW PRIM, yay!

Cabinet doors of “003” are designed to only open up half way, to allow easier walking around the furniture and to give extra space in case the owner wants to place other furnishings close by.

Not that you need to squish in so... the idea is that this bench will allow you to sit anywhere you want, as many as can fit! AND lets your AO live.

Just as in the ARIRA sofa series shown above, that have recently become one of our best sellers, no poses are installed. These are designed to let your av's AO come through. Use your expensive AO "sit" and look your best!

So, here's a little something to sharpen up your home decor.
I've placed 2 red benches on the "ARIRA open terrace"(beach house), which
is still out as a gift at ARIRA and I'm already feeling the summer breeze!

ARIRA table set includes:
1 table(click to change color&design)

1 black straight-backed bench(AO sit)

Clicking on the edge of the table will trigger sculpt change, to let you choose between 2 different colors and designs.

A tip to all skybox users!

Have you ever fallen through the sky, butt naked? Well, I have,,,
so here’s an important reminder to you all. Don’t forget to lock your skybox!!!

Those who just grinned I suppose are long time SL players, but those who didn’t get it, listen up good now! When you are up in the sky opening up new boxes or furnishing or whatever and decide to take a certain piece back into your inventory, there will come a day, when you’ll accidently click on the skybox itself. Then, unless it’s locked, poof goes the skybox, down goes you flying through the air. Quite embarrassing really, believe me,,,

So, what you have to do is to lock it, anchor it down kind of, at a certain altitude.

In case you aren't sure how to set up a skybox in the first place,,, I'll write that down too.

Oh, and don't forget to take that new LM while you're up there, or else you’ll end up flying around later, looking for your skybox. I’ve done that too.

[How to set up a skybox]
1. Buy or rent a piece of land :D
2. Rez(drag&drop your skybox from inventory -> ground).
Make sure every inch of the skybox fits INSIDE your land. Boundaries exist even up in the sky, so if your object is intruding into someone else's land, it will affect the prim count of your neighbor.
3. Walk into your skybox and "sit" wherever possible. Don't get your furnishings out yet, as they'll get left behind on the ground, once the skybox is shot up.
4. Right click your skybox -> select “edit” ->click “Object” tab -> find “Position(meters)”. See the X, Y and Z digits? Z is where you type in the altitude.
5. Type in the altutude of your choice, usually between 300 - 3000.
6. You should be up in the air now, are you? If so, look around using your camera view and mini map, to make sure you're a good distance away from your neigbors' skyboxes. At least 30 meters away so your local chats won't be overheard and 500 meters if you don't want to be peeped.
7. Lock your skybox!!
8. Stand in whatever place you want to fly into, then take a LM to assure a safe return!

[How to lock your skybox]
Right click the skybox -> select “edit” ->click “Object” tab -> place a check next to “Locked”

This way, even if you do click on the skybox itself by mistake, a message will appear asking if you’d really intended to remove a locked object. Mind you, if you miss this message and click “yes”, you’d go zooming down anyway(I crashed down onto a street in a PG SIM, bold and half naked).

・Low prim(62), a little ARIRA magic to avoid total darkness at night(midnight mode), big walls to hang artworks and gadgets, modern design, nice landing point outside, 1 entrance door, all-linked.

One of our all time best sellers! Has a bar counter installed with 4 removable stools. The designer in charge really went into detail, so I wish you'd come to our showroom to look around for yourself. For example, you know how stools have little screws on the bottom of the cushion to hold down the fabric? Well, they are there!

A few steps up into the living room, then again a couple more into the second room, which can be used as a bedroom of course, or a little den. These little steps work surprisingly well as a kind of screen, separating the otherwise flat room into 3 zones; the welcoming, entertaining and relaxing. Because of this layout, some of our friends have used this skybox to open up a little shop!

This particular skybox was created with "entertaining your friends" in mind, so has a landing zone outside and a nice entrance(not security door).

Now, stand inside the bar then use your camera view to look around. I heard the walls were built at a certain distance so that the person standing inside the counter and entertaining his/her guests would always&easily have the entire room in view!

The stools, yes, they have been dusted with a little ARIRA magic as well:) They will let your av's AO come through! After all, don't we all have our favorite "sitting positions?" Searched for, tried out, PAID FOR! then installed into our huds? Usually, when we sit on something, the scripts inside or the pose balls always take over, don't they? Some are funny or sexy and I've bought quite a few furniture pieces myself, yeah, but sometimes, I'd wondered about my expensive AO!

See the installed blinds here. The transparency can be changed by touching the switch on the wall. Oh, by the way, textures used for this skybox are all our originals, laid out carefully to stage that spacial coziness with class. Hope you have a wonderful time here with your friends!

[How we work] Team work!
We always have talking sessions before a house is put out on display. Never criticizing, no, but more like freely expressing opinions that accumulated would automatically make up a kind of a "wish list". “I’d want to fly in, so I’d love it if the beams were raised a bit” “I need a little more width to fit my kitchen” etc etc.....! The opinions are sometimes outrageous but honest, sending the creator in charge home with tons of homework. The house would be renovated, then taken out again a couple of weeks later for another feedback session. This process is repeated as mamy time as the creator sees fit, time consuming really, but ARIRA team members choose to work this way, to enhance quality and to meet a wider range of needs. We offer quality, finish up with your taste!

By the way, ARIRA products are good for use within SL only, so don’t send us your real address :D
